Aniston credited for new anti-paparazzi bill

31 December 2009

Jennifer Aniston has been hailed as the major reason for a new Californian law restricting the paparazzi.

Assembly Bill 524 will be implemented from January 1st, allowing civil penalties against the paparazzi and the media outlets that purchase pictures that were unlawfully obtained.

And Democrat and Assembly Speaker Karen Bass has revealed that it was thanks to celebrities like Jennifer Aniston who expressed concern over the photographers actions that helped pass the bill in October.

The actress was quoted in The Times, "There have to be some boundaries. When you have children in the car and the photographers are rushing you, it's just absolutely out of control.

"It's become a public safety issue. Somebody's going to die if we don't do something."
