All Star Musketeers
Hot on the heels of the news that Doug Liman is officially signed on to direct Warners’ Sherlock Holmes-style take on The Three Musketeers, Paul WS Anderson has announcing a wealth of casting for his 3D version of the story, with Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Mads Mikkelsen and Matthew Macfadyen all jumping aboard.
Ray Stevenson will take on the role of Porthos, Luke Evans is Athos, Matthew Macfadyen is Aramis rounding out the musketeers is Logan Leman who will take the role of D’Artagnan, who leaves home to train as a member of the French king’s royal household in the 1600s.
Mads Mikkelsen will play Rochefort; the right hand of Christoph Waltz' devious Cardinal Richelieu. It is also reported that Orlando Bloom has been offered the role of Duke Of Buckingham, who causes further trouble for our heroes.
Anderson has also signed his wife Milla Jovovich to play a part, in this case Milady de Winter, a former flame of Athos and someone Anderson describes as “a 17th century Bond girl”.
