24 is heading to the big screen

09 February 2010

Some exciting news for 24 fans - plans are well on the way to bring the TV series onto the big screen.

Variety are speculating that the eighth season of the hugely popular show will be the last - leaving Kiefer Sutherland the chance to reprise his character Jack Bauer for a cinema audience.

Twentieth Century Fox have hired State of Play screenwriter Billy Ray to pen the script for the movie.

Sutherland has long expressed his desire to make a film version of 24, with part of it being shot in London.

"It's something that we've always talked about because I think the fantastic thing about Europe, for something like 24, is that it's very feasible to get from Prague to London in the course of a day."
